End of 1986 the anniversary of the founding of Maserati, the Maserati Quattroporte Royale version of the Quattroporte III was unveiled. Production period 1986 to 1990 (on special order), only 55 where built. The only changes where in the performance (300 HP @ 5600 rpm with a 4.9 l / v8 engine, 3 Speed automatic trany from ZF, compression ratio 9.5:1, 93.6x89/4930 cc and a small "Royale" script on the trunk.
